Great Friday night pre-show get together with entertainment ($10.00). Rotary raffles off a Corvette and each car entered receives a complimentary raffle ticket for the raffle car. Each car entered will receive a goodie bag.. On field slotting begins at 6:30 with complimentary morning coffee for each car entered. The 33rd Annual Run to the Sun, open to 1972 and older cars and trucks, will be held in beautiful Lake Havasu City, AZ, home of the world famous London Bridge, on October 20-24, 2010. The event kicks off with a catered party for early arrivals on Wednesday evening. Thursday starts with a poker run in the morning and ends with a huge cruise night on McCulloch Blvd. on Thursday night. Friday and Saturday are show & shine days on the Island golf course at The Nautical Beachfront Resort. A Fashion Show for the ladies will be held on Saturday morning. Our unique Navajo made Kachina trophies will be awarded on Saturday afternoon to the winners in 29 classes and others chosen by our sponsors and local organizations. Sunday morning wraps things up with a parade of vehicles through town. Your entry includes 2 meals at the kick off party, 2 Friday night banquet tickets, the Sock Hop on Friday night with a live band, an event T-shirt, dash plaque and mug, one hand in our Poker Run with cash prizes for the best and worse hands, entry into our exclusive cruise night on Thursday and the fashion show for the ladies on Saturday.

Thorobred Thunder is a Chevrolet Car Show sponsored by the Corvette Club of Arizona and Thorobred Chevrolet. All participants receive a dash plaque and Goody Bag, and 1st 100 receive a t-shirt. We have Specialty Awards including Top 10, Best Club Participation, PLEA Pick, etc. Door Prizes and lots of fun!

This event benefits the following charities: Phoenix Law Enforcement (PLEA) Charities; St. Vincent de Paul; Sheriff's Youth Assistance Foundation; and River of Dreams who provide outdoor adventures for people with disabilities.

The annual Viet Nam Veterans of America Chapter 106 Nam Jam Music Festival is on hold until 2011 when it will have a new venue and an exciting schedule of top talent, family fun and a street fair atmosphere. Meanwhile, the fall 2010 event will be a second 2010 car show at Chuy’s at 22nd Street and Kolb on Saturday November 13th.

We are calling the show a Nam Jam Fall Car Show to celebrate and support Viet Nam Veterans and their service to America. And to raise money for VVA projects. Live Music at Chuy’s, food specials at Chuys , DJ at the show, vendors, and cool cars, trucks and motorcycles all in the huge lot behind Chuy’s. Many door prizes. Veterans, bring your Service Club membership card and get $10.00 worth of free door prize tickets with your car registration.
