CHAPMAN CHEVROLET CAR SHOW

The Chapman Chevy Car Show from 10am to 4pm with KOOL broadcasting on site is tracking along nicely. There will be an awesome lineup of Chevy's for this show, and recommend you get the word out to all your car nut friends to keep the date open so they can attend. This show is open to all chevys, not just Camaros. A partial list of cars that will be there are: 69 Camaro Berger COPO, 69 Camaro NASCAR pacecar (not an indy pacecar), a 1968 Camaro Yenko conversion car, a couple 70 Yenko Deuce's, a 2010 Berger Camaro, as well as a nice cross section of 1st Generation club member cars. We are still soliciting for more cars, they don't have to be camaros so invite your friends. Reservations for your car on the top deck will be coordinated through me, as there are a limited number of spaces. Don't worry, the overflow on the grassy area is superb for showing the cars as well. Flyers will be out next week. Please call me as soon as possible for a head count and participation in the all day event. We have vendors, food, jumper for kids and much more. 25th Annual "Chevy Showdown"

Start planning to attend - April 30th - May 1st, 2010: The most adventurous road rally EVER CREATED! The Inaugural Cannonball Phoenix Spree begins at the Fort McDowell Radisson. This is a fun spirited weekend rally combined with a truly scenic drive. We begin our first leg cruisin’ to Payson, rubberneck our way through Sedona and breeze into Flagstaff.

This will be a wildly entertaining and adventurous rally, bringing many of your favorites together: a unique scavenger hunt earns you points along the way as well as a poker run for another opportunity to earn great awards. Other prizes will be given to those who earn the trivia bragging rights, best costume, best car and a variety of other categories for winning. You won’t know if you’ll be a BIG winner unless you put the pedal to the metal and join the outrageous fun on the Inaugural Cannonball Phoenix Spree!

To keep with the movie’s theme of eccentric racers, we are inviting a wide variety of competitors with all makes, years and models to the rally, sponsored by the Fort McDowell Radisson and Fort McDowell Casino. Cannonball girls and look-a-likes will appear during the event to take pictures with you and your car. This whacky-zany rally can be as fun as you make it; grow out your Burt Reynolds’ mustache or dress up as your favorite movie character and have a blast!

After lunch and a tour of the observatory facilities we head back to the Hotel Tucson for a dinner and auction beginning at 6:00pm. Saturday we take over the Fourth Avenue Historic District for our Show 'n' Shine from 8:00am-3:00pm. Sunday we wrap up the weekend with our Breakfast and Awards banquet. Each car entered will receive a goodie bag.. On field slotting begins at 6:30 with complimentary morning coffee for each car entered. Breakfast is available in our fantastic shaded food court with seating for 300. Large childrens area with jumping castles and climbing wall. Check our website for hotels.

Lots of great raffle prizes, food, music by "DJ John" free pedal car and pine car races for kids, great Halloween activities for kids of all ages 1-90 yoa!
